A haven of tranquility immersed in the spectacular landscape of the Andean foothills, the lodge offers an unforgettable experience of peace and harmony with the natural surroundings.

Dining room

The dining room is located outdoors on the bank of a small ravine and overlooks a privileged view of the Chaparrí hill. It is common to see squirrels, foxes, white-winged turkeys, or peccaries while dining. Filtered drinking water is always available, as is the WiFi so you can stay connected.

Common areas

Around the dining room, there are common areas where you can relax in a hammock, chat, or simply enjoy the incredible view. Out of respect for all guests, these areas are smoke and music-free.

The menu consists of local produce whenever possible and is a fusion of traditional local cuisine with international fare. Dishes cooked in the traditional earth oven are a specialty. Vegetarian options are available upon request prior to your arrival.

Bar service

Beer, wine, some alcoholic beverages, and soft drinks are available at the hostel. Any expenses incurred at the bar can only be paid in cash.

Take the time to book your Chaparri getaway with all the exclusive features you want to see and do during your time here. Included with your booking are: - Passes to the Chaparrí reserve - A Spanish-speaking guide - Three full meals - IGV

Each room is named for the wildlife you will find on the reserve:

  • 3 matrimonial (Boa, Pava, Condor) & 3 double (Iguana, Zorro, Bear) located approx. 50 meters from the dining room.
  • 2 matrimonial (Venado, Huerequeque) & 3 doubles (Guanaco, Tigrillo, Tamandua) located approx. about 150 meters from the dining room as you walk over a suspension bridge to reach your home away from home.
  • 1 bedroom suite (Colibrí) king bed, bathroom with tub, located approx. 50 meters from the dining room and requires traversing a suspension bridge to get there.

Isolated from the noise and light of the populated areas, the nights in Chaparrí are perfect to appreciate starry skies, enjoy the silence you can’t find in the city, and feel the magic of nature.

Sunrise and sunset are the best times to observe the wildlife. Night walks are full of surprises!
